Trying to pay back loans

I do not undersatnd how these payday loan companies over the internet do business with certain people who live in sates that require them to have a license to loan they must know they can get away with it. I live in New Hampshire and i am now more aware of the laws on Payday loans. Has anyone ever had a loan company take them to Court being illegal lenders or been served papers. They are so rude and almost impossible to deal with i just want to know what they can really do to me i tend to get a little angry when someone treats me like garbage over something like this. i am willing to pay what i owe but i can only do it with a reasonable amount of time and refuse to let them tell me otherwise! So my question is what has been done and what can they do to me? Thanks
