Thanks for your help and advice....Settlement Success

Hi All....I have only posted a couple of times and got advice from several of you regarding my situation. I wanted to just say "Thank You" for this site and for all your help! I had lost my husband 3 years ago very suddenly and tragically, just shy of our 30 year anniversary. So that was the start of my nightmare. So I almost lost my house and everything else. I am now in a much better place. My home loan was modified and my payment was reduced by $1700.00! Last week I finally got an offer from B of A to settle my two credit cards for 20%! I was at 150 days late on one and 30 on another. A total of 32,000. I had been offered 35 and 30% and then I got a call from the VP's office with this offer. I was shocked and feel so blessed to finally have my bills paid and under control. I have always paid everything on time and never would have asked for help. But under the circumstances it was my only hope or I would have had to file bankruptcy. So today I ran my credit report and credit score. Everything has posted as "Paid in Full" and I think it said something like "setteled for less than full balance". But to my shock my credit score is up to 722! It went up over 100 pts since a few months ago. So again thanks to you all and I wish you all success with your journeys!
