Hello I had a dispute with a merchant which chase did not thoroughly investigate and decided I was to blame (a gym contract which stated if you moved over 100 miles from the gym and give them the proper notification, which I had, they let you out of the contract[the gyms words were " You gettin' charged...if you don't like it, take us to court" ]). Chase's investigation found "there was a 'valid' contract signed by me.... I never paid the amount and now it's been sold to a collections agency. Is a validation letter likely to be of any help? Are there alternate courses of actions to explore?
