One of my payday lenders is wagesfast.com. They are not legal to do business in the State of Ohio. I borrowed $400 from them and to date have paid back $580. (If anything they owe me a refund of $180 – Fat chance on collecting). They are not even located in the United States, I believe they are in the British Isles. On July 8, (one day before they were to debit my account which I had closed the day before), I sent them a C& D and wage assignment revoke letter. A few minutes after I emailed and faxed this letter, they responded by saying.. “The account is NOT paid in full. Until you provide us with that valid checking account, you will continue to accrue interest fees on your scheduled pay dates and your loan will continue to be in serious arrears. Regards, Customer Service”

I really laughed at their response about the part that says “serious arrears..” The account was not even due for payment until July 9 and this response was received on July 8!

Anyhow, I have not heard from them since. However, when I log into their website they are still showing my loan is open and $352 is due and owing.
Should I ignore all of this or press them for a paid in full letter. I have not heard from them since July 8.

Thoughts?

I've not found any contact information about this company. It's true that they're not situated in US. I think you should not let them off the hook so easily. Contact them and ask for a refund. State that you're revoking all ACH authorizations with them and if they don't refund you, you may file a case against them with the FTC.

I sent the idiots an email this morning pushing for a refund (fat chance) and a letter paid in full. This is the response I got back from them.

"You are well aware of the terms and conditions of the contract as this is your 3rd loan with us. Again, please send new checking account information so the account does not continue to accrue interest fees. Regards, Customer Service"

Any thoughts on my next step? I did file a complaint with The Federal Trade Commission and the Ohio Attorney General's Office. I just want to PIF letter.

A refund would be nice, but my chances of getting this are slim to none. I just want a paid in full letter. These guys are total idiots. Any ideas how I can get one?
