Someone from this number 1-408-310-4146 x 5001 called and I talked to a Mike Croft then a Mark Thomas they are stating that they are from State Investigation department and that I owe 1035.28 on a payday loan that I will be convicted of 3 counts of fraud if I do not pay them. All had foreign accents and they had all my information where I worked, my fathers name and even said that he would be charged as well cause I listed him as a referrence. I don't know if I should call him back and make arrangements or am I being scamed? Please help!!!


I did a reverse lookup and its a cell phone number....since when do cell phones come with extenstions? The person called again at lunch time but I let it go to voice mail and he basically said the same thing as yesterday in that accent and the phone was staticky which I now understand because its a cell phone. They also called my house lastnight after I spoke to them they didn't leave a message.

this is just another scam in INDIA.these guys can't and won't do a thing.the reason they have your info is because they either bought,stole,or were given your info from a pdl.that is it.these people are mindless fools who threaten because they have to.file a police report.then use the number that came up,and the name of the scam to file FTC complaints.above all do not speak to these idiots again.if you know now it's a scam.why waste your time talking to them?they are not worth it.

Paul is right! SCAM from overseas. When Indian collectors call and they have names like Anderson and Miller, they are full of you know what! It kills me when they try to pose as American Govt. Officials! It is actually comical! They called me a couple weeks ago and I asked for their company name and address for an on going investigation! They hung up!

I have been getting calls after calls after calls too. But the numbers that come up on my caller ID are all one big long number such as.....585331861328 or 608467044028. I keep getting calls from a Jack Thomas or a Anna Taylor with VERY heavy accents and they will NOT leave me alone. They call no less than 10 times a day! I am not kidding! They say I owe a payday loan as well but will not send me any information about any of it. I did have one last year but I KNOW I paid it off. They have all my personsal info too and I do not know what to do. They have also called my friends and work that I had put down as a reference. That is so embarrasing. What do I do?
