i was served with what apeared to be court papers but no time, court etc ..under court it was just written jp chase morgan legal dept.. and said if i dont respond in 20 days they will ask for a judgement will a debt verification letter work on this?

Johnson Law Group Orlando
I had 18K in debt and signed up with Johnson Law group Las Vegas. They soon moved to Orlando but didn't do much to help me for 4 months so I paid off 8 of my 9 creditors on my own. I have one large debt of 18k left which was sold to Praxis and they have harassed and threatened a lawsuit. Now JLG says they can help me with this last one and my debt will be gone at 40%. How do I know they will pay off the debt to Praxis as they have done zero for me to date. I did it all on my own.
Anyone help?
