well what i did first is to save my check, remove the direct deposit and get it in paper check, then i called the bank and did NOT told them i was freezing the account becasue of paydayloans but because of other suspicious activity and i was just being careful, ( you need to read about closing accounts and ACH revokation before you do this) i took a risk but oh well it turned good for me since I rescued my check, i was able to pay my bills first and get back on track with rent, light, water, daycare, etc. meanwhile i contacted each lender and asked for a payment plan that I could afford, not what THEY wanted. At first the did not agreed but then after insisting, they agreed to $25 every two weeks until balance was paid off. Do not stop paying bills to pay them or you'll fall inthe cycle again, borrowing in order to pay bills which is why i started my cycle! so go ahead and go step by step and you'll start seeing results.

Are you sure Check City is a payday loan? I couldn't find them in the licensee database of Missouri.
