I have defaulted on several pay day loans. I sent them a letter telling them I would be making payments but have several creditors and would do the best I could each month.. I live in California by the way. Most of them I believe have taken my first payment however, Check into Cash who I owe 300 sent my $40 payment back. No letter or anything. any suggestions as to what to do now ? I can't afford to pay them all at once

Were these all Internet based loans or store front? Did you write any post dated checks on any of these loans? Contact the corporate office of Check into Cash and tell them the payment was returned. Do you know if you used the correct mailing address or was it refused? Make sure you make a copy of that returned payment for future records, and any other correspondence you receive.

It is check n go and I sent it to the storefront office that I took the loan out of. How do I find out what the corporate address is ?

It's too bad you already defaulted or you would have been eligible for an extended payment plan which stops the interest as soon as you sign up for it, then you pay it off in four separate payments, but you have to request this offer before you default. Check n Go is a member of the CFSA (The Community Financial Services Association of America), that is why this EPP is available. Perhaps if you call the corporate office you can request it, MAYBE they will still allow you to sign up for it if you explain your hardship. I will need to do some research to see if I can locate a corporate office in your state, will return asap!
