I live in Pennsylvania and took out a loan which I've been unable to pay. I'm not sure the amount owed at this point. Someone from a law office of Greenman and associates called today threatening legal action, in this case a warrant for my arrest on felony charges.

From what I've read so far the warrant is BS. I also could not find any information on this Greenman and Assc.

They stated that Namakan capital secured their services to collect the debt. I've read that Namakan was unlicensed in many states. Does this include Pa?

Any advice would be appreciated.

here is some.all pdl's are prohibited in PA meaning namakan is also illegal.i would also guess this law firm is a made up entity by someone at namakan as debt are civil matters, not criminal ones.lastly even if they could take you to court they cannot garnish as PA is non-garnishment.if you have the number that comes up on caller id,or a number they give you.use that as well as the name of this scam to file police reports for the illegal threat.then use that same info to file AG,and FTC complaints against namakan, and this scam.then do not talk to them,or return their messages again.not worth your time.they can't do a thing except call, and threaten stupidly.don't give them the opportunity.

Thank you for all the information. I was on the right track. I did a search of the 888 number that came up on CID and it yielded no results, so I'm in the process of getting an Intellius report. I have blocked the calls from that number, and I will file complaints to the AG and FTC next week.

Thanks and best regards.

The Intellius report did not generate any information. I called them back and, of course, nobody was available to answer the phones. I left a VM and stated that any further communication should go though my attorney (who is a friend of the family). We will see if they bother calling.

I got a second call from a First Legacy Assets last night, threatening felony attempt to defraud and theft of goods. They said they were attempting to serve papers, and that my court date was "very soon." I was in a store at the time, but when I got home i searched county records and there was nothing there. I called them this morning and they have almost no information including the original creditor, whom they identified as "payday." I also could not find any information on a collections agency called First Legacy. What a bunch of crap this is.

Please file a complaint against them with the FTC, BBB and your AG!
