I have a 9000 balance on my target card i was on a paymt plan and couldnt keep it. i talked to someone again and they put me on a new plan, i made a couple more pymts and then they said my plan was not accepted. They now have sent me to a law office ca. I dont have a lump sum, and there pymt plan is to high should i just send them what i can? i dont know what to do. I dont want to get sued!!

Write them a very professional letter explaining your financial situation and how much you really feel you can afford to pay! If they refuse to budge the best they can do is take you to court where, in most states they will be forced by mediation to take what you can afford anyway! What state do you live in?

I would ask a friend who is a lawyer (if available) what you should do. I also agree with "frogpatch". If you write a professional letter that states your current situation, how you came to be in that situation and the confusion regarding the payment plan, you just might be okay.
