I'm sorry if this question has been answered in the forums before; I tried to search for similar topics but couldn't really find anything.
I made a HUGE mess with multiple payday loans back in the summer of 2008 and I haven't made any effort to pay any of them back, until now. And now that I'm finally trying to fix the damage, I can't remember which lenders I borrowed from or how much I borrowed from each. The account I used to take out the loans ended up charged off due to overdrafts 2008, and I don't seem to have any other record, I've been really irresponsible with keeping old account statements.
I was living in Delaware at the time (I've sinced moved to upstate NY), and I know the first loan was a storefront loan from Advance America in the amount of 351.00. I also took out multiple internet loans. I know I had loans from Cash Central for 400.00 , Cash Net USA for 300.00, and Payday One for 500.00. I think I took out other loans as well, but I can't remember where from, or how much they were.
I consistently get collection calls from the three internet lenders I listed above, but I don't hear from anyone else. I've also gotten some threatening calls from "attorneys" (Brewer, Michaels, and Kane?) telling me that I have a pending fraud lawsuit in the state of Delaware that I need to make a statement about.
I checked my credit report, and I have two items from the same company (Marauder Inc) which list the original creditor as MoneyandMore, Inc. They have different account numbers, but are for the same amount of money (315.00)
Also, I tried searching through my old emails for messages with the word "payday", and it brought up request confirmation emails from the following companies (but no actual loan approval or deposit confirmation emails):
liberty loans online
my payday direct
mypaydayloan.com (but it looks like this was denied?)
checkcity
mypaydaymail
There's also an email from customerservice@4moneyandmore.com - I can't tell if this is legit - warning that if certain collection companies, among them Marauder Inc, had tried to contact me regarding my loan from Money and More, this was a scam. Not sure what to think about that.
I guess my question is: what should I do next? Should I contact each of the companies listed above and ask if they have records of an account in my name, or is that a really stupid idea? Should I contact my old bank and ask if there's some way that they can look back at old statements even though my account was charged off and see what companies I received deposits from?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give, it's much appreciated. I have no idea what I'm doing. Obviously. Ughhhhh I wish I hadn't been so stupid :/

You need to find out which of these lenders are legal and which are not. f you were located in DE at the time you obtained these loans then the DE payday loan laws would apply, click the link below to read the DE payday loan laws:

Click the link below for the DE licensee data base, to check and see which of your lenders are legal and which aren't:

If you should find that some of your payday loans were not legal then CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

Thanks, that helps. It looks like the three internet lenders that I actually can confirm I borrowed from are indeed legal in DE. I didn't see the one that shows on my credit report, though. Weird? How could they show up on my credit report if they aren't legal?

Also, what should I do as far as contacting the lenders I can't remember if I borrowed from?
