I live in Florida.The loan company is called USA Check Cashing.The loan was for $ 445.00 and they are threatening to take me to jail if I don't pay and the loan is about 1 year old.Can they do that?

The same thing happened to me. They actually told me to turn myself in to the police and that I was going to be charged with a felony. I believe they said money laundering or something crazy like that. I was so upset. The very next day I saw something on Yahoo's homepage about creditors threatening you with jail time.
