Should you tell the CA how much debt you have and that you are trying to settle with everyone, or should you not tell them

they already know, they have access to your credit report. Let them know you have a friend that is going to lend you $x dollars only if you can come up with a settlement of that amount, but you have more than one card you're trying to settle with (if it's true). In my case they were motivated to settle, b/c otherwise I would settle with the other card.
