ICollect/Global Group

I took out a payday loan through Global Group Holdings for $250.00. I noticed last week that nothing came out of my checking account. I called them up today to see if I could pay it off completely... I spoke to Sydney. She said my account was invalid and they have sent my account over to ICollect. She had no info on them to give me. I should have received an email on June 23rd which I have not. And from reading other posts I am pretty much screwed. Nothing has happened yet, but I'd like to catch this before anything does and just pay this stupid thing off and get on with my life. What should I do??? The number I found for ICollect was 1-866-856-1024. I cannot reach them! HELP!!

If you look them up on the BBB site you will see there have been

If you look them up on the BBB site you will see there have been several complaints filed against them, they are not a reputable collection agency and in fact aren't even listed as a collection agency, they are listed as a payday lender. I am willing to bet that Global isn't even licensed to lend in your state, without even knowing what state you are in. If I were you, I would close my bank account and CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

As far as ICollect is concerned, it is a collection agency on New Zealand. And as Shazzers has written that Global might not even be a licensed lender in your state, just shrug it off your shoulders and check out the link provided by Shazzers. Illegal lenders should never be entertained!!!
