A year ago I closed my checking account do to PDL's. I still owed them money that I didnt have-needless to say I was in the payday loan trap.
I went up today and reopened my account now I am worried that these companies can still take money out of my account. Does anybody know if this can happen. Thanks

Not necessarily true. These people will hunt you down-if you have the same bank, or, in my case, even a different bank, they may debit your account. It happened to me. Fortunately, I was able to have the debit charged back, but I had to file a fraud report. I would think this is pretty rare, though, but if it does happen, make sure to file a fraud report with your bank.
