can I send settlement offer?

We've been killing ourselves trying to keep up and not a single payment has been on time in the past 2 years. We really cannot afford to keep on this way and we just got an unexpected chunk of cash so we can pay up to 50% immediately. Is there any chance they will accept or do we need to stop paying for 120 days first?

Actually, they WILL talk to you about settlement if you've not yet gone past due BUT, you usually get a better deal at 120 days.

Do not make another payment and just wait. B of A was very easy for me to settle with. They seem to settle with just about everybody. So stash the cash and wait it out.
