Please help!!
I lost my job 2 months ago and did not qualify for unemployment.
I took out payday loan after payday loan and now I am in waaayyy over my head!!
Here are the outstanding loans that I have and owe much I still owe:
EastSide Lenders: $500.00
Loan Point USA: $600.00
Ace Cash Express $325.00
US Fast Cash: $325.00
One Click Cash: $260.00
Sagamore: $300.00
"Integrity Advance: $500.00
Now here's where I am a little frightened. I had to "freeze" my account at Chase bank in Texas because I told the bank my situation and they were nice enough to actually freeze the account. BUT All 7 loans put an ACH debit (for the bi-weekly payments) through to my account this morning and they all show up as "pending". If they all go through, I will be seriously in the red.
Can you guys please give me some advice on what to do!! The account should be frozen so why did the ACH debits come through?
I am pretty scared and confused!!
Thanks in advance

Someone with more info that I will be along; in the meantime, if your bank DID put a hold on your account yet the ACH's are pending, you should get in touch with the bank manager as soon as possible about the situation. Did you put a hold on ALL ACH's from your account, or just the names of the lenders above? Thing is, so many PDL's use so many names, if there's a hold on one name on your account, they might try to use another. In any case, please contact your bank about this.

Pachacutec1 is right, you need to get in touch with the branch manager asap, no one else will do, it must be the branch manager. If your account was frozen those debits should NOT go through.

By the way, you only have one legal lender there, and that is Ace Cash Express. Close your account and deal with the legal lender right now, you can worry about the illegal ones later, but you need to close that account. ACH blocks will only work usually for one debt attempt because illegal lenders are known for changing their names and debiting HUGE amounts repeatedly. My branch manager told me to close my personal account, take the cash and open up a new checking account at a different bank. My question is, even if I send the email letter to the PDL, can they still come after me for the cash I owe. There is no way I can pay off all the cash I owe. I can pay off ACE cash express but not all the rest. I was told by my branch manager that they can end up suing me for all the money I owe. Is this true? I live in Texas.

Don't be scared of getting sued or anything, if you handle things with fear, you won't get much done! confront them, write letters, do what you need to do but don't be scared or show you're scared, they'll try to intimidate you. just make sure you don't hide from them or it will get worse and annoying, communicate in writing so you have proof of everything. Like Shazzers said, deal with the ACE cash express first, I am dealing with them, I wrote the a letter since their ACH transaction was blocked and they were willing to work with me with payments because I explained what happened. good luck and read through the threads of other persons there's good info. I've learned how to handle my situation by reading other people's posts reather than waiting to get answers on mine, it works!

I wouldn't be overly concerned about being sued by an illegal lender, it's absurd, most aren't even located in the states. If you read the thread on how to deal with unlicensed lenders most of your questions will be answered there, and it will guide you step by step to resolve the cycle.

It is ignorant people like you that come forward whining that the payday loan industry has downed them. WTF business did you have taking out not 1 but 7 loans totaling nearly 2500.00 that you couldn't pay back as you lost your job. You have defrauded 7 businesses, lied on 7 loan applications. If you had gotten into a cab that you couldn't pay for or eaten a meal that you couldn't pay for you would be arrested. But now, 7 companies who trusted your word that you would pay back your loan and have your signature to prove it, giving you money on pure trust have been defrauded and are now the bad guy.
I think they should sue you, for lying and being a moron and borrowing money you couldn't afford to pay back. Irresponsibility at its worst.

You've not helped this poster by your caustic remarks. It may be that he intended to pay them out of his unemployment funds, but things came up and he/she most likely took another one out to pay that one and so on and so on.

Before I knew payday loans were illegal in NJ, I took one out. then my car broke down and I had to use the money to get it fixed, thus taking out another pdl to pay the first pdl. and that's how the whole mess starts.

These pay day companies KNOW they are illegal in most states, so they should not be EXTENDING loans in those states. and when you try to pay them off and work with them, they get an attitude. If they stuck to the states where they were legal, or charged the legal amount of interest, there wouldn't be a problem, would there?

You must work for a PDL, given your post.
