voluntary wage deduction

I have a loan that was co-signed by my two employers. While i am grateful, I only have 8 months left and have told my employer twice now that i no longer want it taken out of my paycheck. I paid on it for 6-8 months and then asked them to just start taking it out weekly from my check. Now this employers is refusing to stop taking it out. Isn't this illegal? I am fed up any help would be great>

Loan was cosigned by your employers?? What type of loan is this and how did they cosign? Never heard of an employee cosigning.
Wage assignments are purely voluntary. You revoke them in writing.
