I am going through the same thing, CAR & Assoc. called and said I owed Midland
Financial 430.00 and that if I did not pay something that day they would have me served with papers. They actually called my parents house, how they found the number, they are saying they used a skip tracer ?? I am 40 years old and have not lived at my parents for many many years !? And had my parents so upset telling them they were looking for me to serve papers. When I spoke with them I paid them right then 100.00 and agreed to pay the rest on 7\30 well to my surprise my paycheck was dated 8\2 so I could not pay them until today. I called them on Friday 7\30 to explain the situation and they told me that if I did not pay them by 7\31- Saturday to not call them back to work out anything that they would alert their attorneys and that I would be served. Do not know what to do should I call an attorney or just let them sue me ? HELP !
