Has anyone ever had them call you? I'm sure this is them collecting on a PDL so I decided to ask here first. The voice mail they left was pretty harsh...saying they'd tried to get in contact with me for 10 days and now they have no choice but to send to Desoto County (where I live) to get a judgment issued. Unless I decided to voluntarily handle it....

What would the best course of action be? I'm in MS and am sure it's an illegal pdl that's trying to collect. Is this firm legitamite? Thanks for your help!

Can you tell us the name of the PDL lender? As far as Lombardo, Davis and Goldman is concerned, they're situated in Buffalo, NY and they don't have an accreditation to Better Business Bureau. They have many complaints against them of harassing the customers. You can ask them to validate the debt by sending a DV letter. And how can they sue you if the loan is an illegal PDL (as you've written)?

They're a bottom feeder collection firm. If they are calling you to collect a debt, then tell them they are required by federal law (FDCPA) to send you a letter of collection via the mail within 5 days of their first initial contact with you, and until that time you will not discuss an alleged debt with a voice on the phone.

File complaints against them, and change your phone number.
