Citation to Comply With Demand
Date: Mon, 08/02/2010 - 14:22
I have been served with a Citation to comply with demand contained in petition. The petition just states that I applied for a Mastercard and am indebted for an amount plus interest and attorney's fees were stated at that time the account was opened. I have to file with the court within 15 days but don't know what I need to file. I have answered interrogatories for the company I work for but this isn't asking questions. Not sure if I need an attorney or what to do.

No, they sent me a Consent Judgment to fill out and return to them but I didn't feel comfortable doing it. I wrote and told them that I would be willing to work out a payment arrangement and the next thing I know I was served with the Citation to Comply With Demand.
A consent judgment means they want you to agree to the judgment
A consent judgment means they want you to agree to the judgment so they can ask the judge to enter it in the record. Get a lawyer, naca.net.
