can I settle the Account charged to proft & loss

I have a private student load with Wachovia that went to profit and loss. Can i still settle with them or do I have to comunicat with will and fud inc who are claiming they were retained by the creditor to settle the debt.

Private student loans hire collection agencies to collect for them. They do settle, but not for pennies on the dollar. They generally will not waive more than 20%. You will need to settle with the collection agency. You can DV them but they will produce the loan notes which include your agreement to pay in full on demand in the case of a default.
