Stuart Allan trying to collect with no judgement

I received a letter from this debt collector for State Farm I know this was regarding an accident with their client who happened to make an illegal left turn into my car. The police marked the report as being their fault.
I am not the owner of the car, this is a company vehicle. They shoudl be working with the subregation group of the fleet company that owns the car and leases to my company.
They send this letter to me as a scare tactic to hopefully pay the claim by credit card.
My question is there any action consumers can take against State Farm. This seems highly unethical and does not reflect well on State Farm.
I am also concerned if thsi is going to go on my credit report.

Collection agencies do not need a judgement to attempt to collec
Collection agencies do not need a judgement to attempt to collect.
Direct them to the correct party to collect from. The CA is simply pursuing the information state farm supplied them. Call your companies insurance company and get them to take care of it.
I have seen this before. Because they are not trying to collect
I have seen this before. Because they are not trying to collect a consumer debt, the FDCPA does not apply in this situation. However, your state may have a statutory claim or a common law claim like wrongful debt collection that gives you a claim against State Farm's debt collector.
