Early payments

I made an early payment in April for my cc bill and because it was before the May statement closing date it recognized no payment for May and therefore the removed my credit line. :o/ Is this fair practice?

I'd give them a call and ask about it. Why should you be penalized for making a payment early? That's just crazy. I had this happen to me once and was able to get them to at least reverse the late fee, but f I remember correctly, they weren't very friendly about it (I think it was Chase). Since then I've learned the hard way not to make payments too early. It's just another way for CC companies to make more $ in fees IMO.
