Sorry, Soap but I also disagree. I had an illegal (in my state) PDL company who never sent me a paid in full letter but they DID tell the BBB they'd marked my account PIF and I had no further obligation to them. So, hanging on to that BBB response has saved me from 2 collection agencies trying to collect on that supposed balance.
