I read all the posts and most say that you get a better settlement if you wait till close to chargeoff, is this just with the big banks or is it true with collection agencys also.
Mine went to collection at 110 days and they don???t seem willling to give an inch, is this normal for those agency?

Thanks Ozzie!
I just found out they lied to me, they kept saying they 'have to take this back to client (citi) and that citi won't accept anything lower, etc..
I just called citi because I have another account there and they told me the first account was sold to the collection agency and that they do now own it anymore.
scum!

From what I know, debt validation will do nothing once suit is filed. You must answer summons. That is if this is a summons. Who is original creditor and what is debt amount??

Second thought. You say it says "Intend to Sue", it may just me a scare tactic and not a summons. Who is it from???
