i work for the world fianacial network national bank and we are a good company we follow the law people need to know what harasment is...if you dont pay your bill your going to get phone calls i get phone calls from my creditors if i owe them money its any bank if you owe them money

Well, there are many "bad" collectors who lie, steal, and break the law everyday. Maybe they just give you honest ones a bad name.

If you can't pay your bills, you can't pay. I don't know anyone that WANTS to not pay their bills. Calling someone 3 times a day for months IS harrassment, especially if they repeatedly say they can't pay. What else is there to discuss?

The problem I have is I will receive a call and tell them not to call anymore. Then they call back. I have had a number of agencies tell me they would remove my phone numbers from their lists and then some time period goes by and they call again.

I have one specific collection agency that I told the agent to never call me again and they said they would block my number. Then a few months later I receive a call from them. I informed them of previous discussions and their excuse was they sent the file back to the main office and the main office sent it back. Then they go into their typical collection spew of BS and I have to cut them off and tell them again not to call. I have had this agency use the same excuse 3 times now. I guess one of these days I will have to send them a CD letter.

Calling such planned harassments 'doing their job' is more like adding salt to injury. If I am unable to pay an owing debt, nothing is ever going to change however much you call or threaten to sue or sell my belongings. I'll still be broke at the end of your calls...on the other hand, calling to negotiate on reducing the debt may just do the magic. @exdebt
