Capital One Settlement

I am behind in my payments to Capital One. I am trying to work out a payment arrangement directly with them, but they refuse to lower my interst rate. The monthly amount they have me paying does not even cover the interest charges. Has anyone had success with them. I want to pay my bill but I just can't since they took my rate from 4.9% to 29%.

I too could not get Cap One to lower my interest rate or payment
I too could not get Cap One to lower my interest rate or payments. So I quit paying and eventually settled the account for 50% of what was owed. Not the best settlement but better than 100%.
