late mortgage question

my mortgage is due on the 5th of each month I am due for July 5th and August 5th. I have not received any notices the collector told me not to send amymore money because they will be foreclosing on me?

You will probably recieve a letter soon from your mortgage company. It will say that you must pay last 2 or 3 months in full by a certain date or foreclosure will begin. If you try sending in 1 month today they will more than likely send back to you.

They may offer you a modification if you could afford.

Call the mortgage company and see if a loan mod can be worked out! With one in every 400 homes in the US in foreclosure, the banks do not want anymore!

I was told they wouldn't take any payments from us but I keep going to the local branch, paying and they are applying the payment. We are two months behind on both the 1st and 2nd but we keep making payments and are applying for a mod.
