Anyone dealth with Washington Mutual (wamu) lately? I have a 2 year old chargeoff that I would like to settle. I know Chase bought them, so do I deal with them?

I don't even know who or which department to call. Anyone deal with an old WAMU account recently?

As your account is already sold to Chase, they are the owner of your account now. So, you have to deal with Chase now. Has Chase contacted you for the account? If yes, then as per law, they will send you a collection letter within 5 days after the initial contact. You will get the address and phone number along with the contact person name in the letter.

We had one, but not as old as yours.
Our WaMu account is now a Chase account, and we got it moved onto their payment program, which was what we needed.

I'm surprised you haven't' gotten any letters about the switch... I'd think they'd (Chase now) would still be bugging you.
Perhaps just give Chase a call & try and get the right department.
