RJM is ruining my credit. I had 2 negative inquiries (both small but affecting me dramatically) on my credit report over 7 years ago which the credit bureaus removed it about 6 or 5 years ago after I filed a dispute (identity theft). Both inquiries reappeared in my report about 2 years ago and this was from RJM this time! I am not sure what to do at this point. No lawyer was interested in this because the credit amount I am talking about is small (less than $800). I can also pay this even with my feeling of injustice in all this just to clean my credit report but some friends told me that it is better - for my record - not to pay... I am really confused. Any advice will be highly appreciated.

also, I don't believe "inquiry" is the correct terminology and if you want to solve it you should call it by the correct name. I would just call it an old delinquent account or old collection account. Anyone please correct me if need be, but an inquiry relates to a specific event where a party ONLY LOOKS at your credit history, with no other action.
