I have been paying a charged off Citibank account to FMA for more than 2 years and now my husband has received a call from Leading Edge saying I owe them for the very same account and they told him I refused to pay. This is an out and out lie seeings as I have never spoken to or corresponded in any way with them. What can I do about this?

Leading Edge has a BBB rating of 'F' with lots of complaints against them. Check out the following link to see what BBB has to say against them: http://www.bbb.org/chicago/business-reviews/collection-agencies/leading-edge-recovery-solutions-in-chicago-il-24000898

Have you received the collection letter from Leading Edge? As per law, they should send it to you within 5 days of initial contact. Send them a DV letter asking them to validate the debt. I don't think they will be able to.

What is the status of the account with FMA? Are you still paying them?
