Fees after Charge off

I have a $23000 charge off with Cap One. If I decide to call there bluff about its going to the attorney at the end of the month. How much can the fees and interest continue to add up before the attorney might settle
My thought is if they add another $1000 to the amount you wont be any better off if you settle for a5% better deal.
What are the odds they will sue or give a better deal.
I heard they love to go legal

I have heard they dont hesitate to do so but I don't have experience with them. FIA sent ours to collections which in turn went to an attorney. We settled at 40% (after fia had offered us 30%)
My cap one was charged off, went to the recovery department for
My cap one was charged off, went to the recovery department for 4 months and then was assigned to United Recovery. My balance never changed during the 4 months in the recovery department.
But once it goes to a lawyer then it most likely will change due to lawyer fees. I settled mine through United Recovery for 55%. Was happy to get it done before the balance started going up again.
