single mom scared that im going to jail of i dont have the Money to pay

I got a call from edison Patrick and associates yesterday for a payday loan I got in san diego CA and the guy was very rude and said that I wrote a bad check on purpose and that if I didn't pay the 300 by monday that he was gonna proceed forward with the case and have me put in jail and the authorities would find me through my social security number,my home and my work I told him I didn't have the money that I receive government assistance and he told me that he could get that stopped so I tried to work out a payment plan and he hung up on me I am so scared I have kids what should I do if I don't have the money please help.

What state are you in? Was this an Internet payday loan or store front lender?

NEVER admit to owing a debt to a voice on the phone.
