I received a letter from First National Collection Bureau claiming I owe. However this isn't my debt. What do I need to do?

Send a debt validation letter to the debt collector via fax or certified mail with a request for return receipt. Once the collector receives the letter, they cannot continue to proceed with the collection process till they validate the debt.
If they refuse or don't validate the debt, send them a cease and desist letter. Moreover, if the debt collectors try contacting you after receiving the C & D letter, then you can file complaints against them with the FTC and your states' Attorney General.
