I'm an Oregon resident. I have four outstanding payday loans, all internet based.

1. Elastic.com, I think they may be legal (First Bank of Delaware, I think, probably from the Think Cash Family Tree).

2. Nationwide

3. Arrowhead

4. VIP CASH/Qloot

I'm pretty sure the last three are illegal in Oregon, could someone confirm either way on all four?

Thanks.

The rest of your pdl's are not licensed to lend.
I can tell you from experience that Nationwide will harass and threaten the crap out of you, but stand your ground with them because they are not entitled to interest and fees because they did not obtain the proper licensing. Make sure you send all these pdl's a wage assignment revocation, cover all your bases and CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

Did you find out anything about dealing with Elastic? I have a loan with not only them but one with Thinkcash and Paydayone, all three are part of the same company. And I am horrified to admit that along with those three I have 15 other loans.. I have started sending that letter from the template to all the illegal ones so I can budget what I owe on the legal ones. What kills me is on a 2000 loan with thinkcash I have paid the 2000 but still owe 27 payments of 95.00?? I wanted to have them just close/freeze my account and let me pay what I still owe but they just pushed back the payments..unfortunately since my account is now closed when they try to put it through it will come back. Maybe then they will close my accounts so the interest will stop? At this point I will be happy just to get rid of the illegal ones so I can concentrate on trying to pay the legitimate ones...I was ready to give up it was so bad.. I have been paying so much in interest every two weeks that it got to the point I could'nt pay bills or buy groceries.. just keep feeding the monster and adding to it. I have the fax number finally for CreditProtectionDepot (how misleading is that name?) so I can send the letters to them for Paydaymax, Discountadvances, and Mycashnow. It made my head spin when I tried to figure out how to pay them all off, all 18, you can't imagine how happy I was when I found this forum and started reading. It was like a weight was lifted. I finally had hope, something I had lost, and the end of my rope had suddenly gotten longer.
