I owe like 4.000 in debt mainly in checking account delinquency in three banks ( bank of America, Suntrust, and US Bank. I now settle down with all 3 of them. They let me pay less than what I owe. Now is there a chance to build my credit. Give me some guidance. I truly learn from my mistakes.

The best way to rebuild credit is to pay off or catch up debts that are behind (which you've done), establish new credit and make all your payments on time.

Car loans, personal loans and credit cards are all new credit you can establish. If you are unlikely to get approved due to your history, try going to you bank and applying for a secured credit card. Once you've established a good credit history, they will usually discontinue the secured requirement.

Congratulations for settling your debts with all your creditors. Now it's time to move forward. I think you have learnt how to use credit cards from your experience. Use them very wisely. Use cash as often as possible for your purchases. Keep your CC balances to 35% of your credit limit. Regular and on-time payments will help you rebuild your credit.
