well since shazzers isn't around can i offer some advice?file AG,and FTC complaints against the bottomfeeder.also a police report as they threatened you with arrest as fraud is a crime.do that and ignore their sorry a$$e$ as they can do nothing.file the complaints and police report then ignore them.it's not worth it to argue with idiots who have no concept of legal and the law.

And to add to what Paul said, since you are in KY, and KY is a one party state, that means you can record the phone call without their consent, recording calls only requires the permission of one party (and that would be you). Send the recorded threats to your attorney general's office. The next time this collection agency calls you let them threaten you (make sure you are recording this) then when you have enough recorded proceed to tell them the pdl was illegal to begin with, and since they are a third party collector they are required by the FDCPA to send you a letter of collection via the mail within five days of their first initial contact with you. You could sue them for up to $1000.00 for non compliance with the FDCPA.

A great tool to start consider using against collectors (legal or not) is Google Voice. All that is required is a free Google Account and, at least initially, a valid US phone number for authentication purposes and call forwarding. (You can later disable this)

Well here is the latest. I finally got a phone call from this collection agency & they tell me they are representing L & M Financial Bank. They refused to give me the contact info on this company. I AGAIN told them what the KY laws read & they basically told me that they don't care. The PDL company is Fast Cash Advance. I need a phone # & address of these idiots so I can finish the consumer complaint form & fax it to the Ky AG.
Does anybody know anything about L & M? Could not find anything about them on the web. They told me this is a "law firm". They told me that "you only owe $300 & you can settle for less". NOT A SNOW BALL'S CHANCE IN HELL THAT I'M GIVING THESE IDIOTS ONE DOLLAR.
Please help-- this one is starting to worry me. Hubby does not have any idea that I have ever done any of this. Times are tough & I fell into the PDL trap. They also told me that "you have refused to pay this , so our attorney will proceed with the case".

is there a number that comes up on caller id?sorry but one of my rules is if you can't find anything on a threatening bottomfeeder.that is what they are.the old "refusal to pay" is another ploy bottomfeeders use.you can use the number you have to complete your complaint.

I did some searching on the web re: Fast Cash Advance & found 2 sites with different addresses. Don't know what that is about so I included both addresses in my complaint form. I figure the L & M is truly a bottom feeder & operates under the radar representing illegal PDL's. Can't wait to get the rest of these idiots filed on. Is there a GOOD address for Fast Cash Advance & why would they have 2 sites with different state adresses?
i am willing to bet that L&M is a made up entity by fast cash ad
i am willing to bet that L&M is a made up entity by fast cash advance.just let your AG know that they are playing lawyers and give them the L&M name as reference.

Yep I agree with you. Wonder how long it takes the AG's office to respond to these idiots & what kind of results others have had doing the same thing.
All of a sudden I'm having trouble getting my replies to post. Keeps telling me my "token has expired".
I've been reading ur other posts..can u offer me some advice/ans
I currently have five pdl's open. the last one i took out to bring my bank account's negative status back to positive. The five companies i "borrowed" from are: The Loanshop(400/120fee), Fast Cash(300/90fee), Cloud 9(300/90fee-which i found through money mutual, the montell williams endorsed commercial), Alpine Direct(250/75fee), and One Click Cash(450/135fee). Now from some readings & research, I found that pdl's are illegal and cannot be licensed in the state of new jersey, which is where i currently reside and have been all my life. I've only been paying the finance fees(since aug/sept) which im sure have totaled more than the principle loan amounts so far.
my questions are, basically what should i do? am i still obligated to pay back the full amounts even if i've been paying the finance charges? are these specific "loan companies" legal in NJ? if i do have to pay them back, would consolidating them be best? i cant afford to pay them all off at once. Thanks for any & all advice/opinions/comments/answers:confused:
First you need to close your checking account and get a new one.
First you need to close your checking account and get a new one.
None of your lenders are licensed to lend in your state. You should only repay the principal amount of the loan (e.g. you borrowed $300 and have paid a $90 rollover fee 3X so you only owe them the remaining $30), no additional fees or interest are payable. If you???ve overpaid, ask for a refund. Be sure to include ACH debit and Wage Assignment revocation language when you send your letter.

I filed a complaint with the MN AG office the last week of August. The letter they sent L & M was dated Sept. 9th and stated they expected a response in 10 days. Well, L & M has not yet responded to the letter.
