In the mean time, OP, I didn't understand the forgive my loans part. Who are they to forgive your loans? Send them the letter stating that they are illegal and you are going to file cases against them with the FTC, state Attorney Generals' office and Office of the State Bank Commissioner. File the cases. Just pay them the principal amount borrowed and ask for a PIF.
