target visa

i have some debt on a target visa acct, been late for about 150 days,
called them about a month or so ago and they told me that Patenaude & Felix owns my acct.now, tried to settle, didn't go the way i wanted,
I called back today and Patenaude & Felix said that they don't have my acct. anymore, Shirmeta & Adams has it now...
the problem is that when I pulled my credit report today from Equifax , it doesn't even show that I own a Target visa acct., let alone that i owe money...
so what does it mean????????

Hard to say...they might not report to equifax, there are two other bureaus they could be reporting to.
Target generally does not sell the account, but places them with CA's before suing.
