Brooklyn, did you sign any consent form before the investigation was performed. It might be possible that one of your relative has signed it for you. Basically, there are two types of study done during CT Scan. One is the plain study and the other one is the Contrast study which is done only if required after the plain study.
Some patients are allergic to the dye and some don't react. But before the study is done, the party must sign the consent form. Please verify if the Imaging center performed the investigation systematically.
Out of curiosity how long ago was the date of service?

med bills on credit report
My non-professional advise is that you should call the hospital and speak w/ manager of billing department and ask them to send you proof that the service was rendered if they cant get paperwork together (if service wasnt done) then they will realize their own mistake and will be forced to correct this issue for you w/ your credit comapny by writing you a lt to provide to the credit agencies that this is a false balance owed./ About the ambulence bill, if insurance wont pay for this which you may want to double check then you can get a letter from hospital/physician stating necessity of ambulence usage (seems like ins should realize that any ambulance ride is necessary and not just because you wanted a ride but sometimes insurances dont have the common sense we ourselves would have! )Either way many phone calls will probably have to be made or paperwork filed. Good luck with this!

I would have to double check again but I believe it is around 5 or 6 years old now. I had called the Imaging center where it was "done" and they said I took up the time slot so I was responsible for it! What nerve. In regards to whether I signed anything I don't believe I signed anything regarding the dye. The tech had asked if I was allergic to shellfish and I said no - which is true. I know that people who are allergic to shellfish often have an intolerence to the dye. I had no family with me since it was just to be a simple procedure. I didn't even want to sue or anything - which I could have done, I just didn't want to be charged for a service which they did not perform.

I understand your feelings, it's really unfair. But another point I would like to bring to your attention here is SOL. Please check the SOL of your state. Since the debts are quite old they might have crossed the SOL timeframe. And no legal action is enforceable on a past SOL debt.

Thanks for the help but now this leads to another question - sorry -- According to the SOL for Florida it says the catch all is 4 years, then it lists Mortgages, Liable suits and Judgements. Does the catch all apply to these medical bills? Does it also apply to the credit card bills I have? Thanks so much for your help. I wish I had found this forum years ago!
Since it has not mentioned anything separately for Medical bills
Since it has not mentioned anything separately for Medical bills or credit card bills, all these will be counted under catch-all limitation.
You can consult a local lawyer to discuss about your account specifically. Also visit this thread; it contains a discussion on Florida SOL-

Judments can stay in the credit report for a period of seven years or till the SOL expires, whichever is longer.
