i am from california. and i have like 7 payday loans that are past due..i lost my job and have no way of paying them..they are all either threatening to take me to collections or garnish my wages..i am so stressed.

can this effect my credit at all..can they take me to court???

What I want to know is even though these companies are legal, their practices are not...for instance rolling over loans or the fact that you can only have one loan at a time. The instructions were clear cut for how to handle illegal payday loan companies...close account...etc...how do we handle legal companies/illegal transactions?
