United Cash Loan and Cash Net Usa in MD

Both of them are illegal in the state of Maryland. So, you are only legally liable to pay the actual amount borrowed from them. So, as far as I understand, you can ask for a refund of $1200 from United cash loan and $ 2480 from Cashnet USA. Also ask for a PIF.

It's a Paid-in-Full letter. It is a proof that your account has been paid in full.

Okay so all i got to do is pay the amount i got out and thats all... Great because I was making plans to pay all these extra fees out...

CashNetUSA is NOT a PDL. It is a CSO and is not governed by PDL laws!!!!!!! Have you defaulted on your loan with them? If not, ask them for an Extended Payment Plan.

If you live in Maryland, you should also contact the MD Dept. of Financial Regulation in Baltimore (phone # and address on this site under MD PDL laws); they can be a big help to you.

Paul, I read the thread you posted. It doesn't clearly state anything except that a bill was proposed to ban CSOs in MD. There's nothing in there about whether it passed or not. Does anyone know if CSOs are still legal in MD?

I'm a MD resident and I'm not really sure; that's why I suggested that the poster contact the MD Dept. of Financial regs. (My PDL's weren't CSOs)

I haven't paid them yet... i took out one loan from cash net USA (1800) and united cash loan (300)....

I looked on the MD Dept of Financial Regulations site and CashNetUSA is licensed as a CSO through Sept 2011.
