We are 35 days past due on four cc because of loss of income. Do we need to contact them and let them know what's going on or do we just not answer the phone or do we talk to them or what? I have read so many things, just not sure what is the right way to work towards settlement.

Chase - 6400
Union Plus - 8000
Sears - 4300
Discover - 3000

Greetings scaredycat,

35 days and no calls yet?
Mine were about 10 days past and the hounds started howling!

Don't worry they will start calling and often.

Just my 2 cents worth but I waited until they started calling and then told my story.
After that I was in contact more or less on a weekly basis.

Others may have a different opinion and will add to your thread.
That's what makes this forum great.

What's a "Union Plus" cc?

Regards,
King "Kash" Jabba Labba

they will keep calling and try to get you to pay anything, if you want to settle dont agree to pay even $1.00. yess it is very stressful but the worst part is taking the calls, but you have to convince them that you can not pay. remain calm and cool, try to be as nice as you can. i have found that to work the best. good luck, hang in there
