I searched but couldn't find information on this.
If I had loans with PDLs, but have since paid them off in full, but paid WAY over the principle - can I still ask for a refund on the excessive fees?
These are illegal companies in my state (CA). I noticed two of them had Desist and Refrain orders filed in the state of California. I was curious of they were liable for the excess fees they charged after the fact . . .

Might depend what company, too.....I recieved a call yesterday that my refund for interest paid will be ACH'd to my account today. I had faxed a letter to corp Paydaymax in Canada yesterday....so it was a quick response. (now I am crossing my fingers the money shows up as he promised - he is going to call me at noon to make sure it does) It was interesting as I was completely nice with everyone I talked to - from paydaymax's customer service here in the US, to Credit Protection Depot, and then this guy in Canada.....so you really can kill flies with honey! LOL I found being firm, but respectful seemed to work the best with me...maybe I just got lucky?

I REALLY hope it all works out in your favor, please keep us posted. My fear is they will do the opposite.
