I had to close my checking account to stop my payday lenders from hitting it.Will they be able to hit my savings account with the same account number?

Your savings account should be safe because it should be a different account number. Talk to your bank's branch manager and explain your situation to them. As them to put your savings account on "deposit only" status, just to be safe.
