you answered your own question.respond that beacon is illegal in NH,and you overpaid on it.also ask for ARM'S license number as well.btw a dunning letter is not a DV letter.that is just basic info on the debt.a proper DV shows both the license for the pdl,and the collector.plus something with your signature on it.

File a complaint against them with the FTC. They are not complying with the federal law (FDCPA) and could be subject to a fine, but you MUST file a complaint first!
But what does there e-mail mean is Beacon just going to hand it
But what does there e-mail mean is Beacon just going to hand it to someone else?

The FDCPA does not require any of those things for a proper DV.

It sounds like they're returning it to Beacon and ceasing their collection activities. Beacon may continue to hand it off to other collection agencies, yes. I would contact Beacon again, in the meantime, and ask again for your PIF letter and a refund of overpayment. They're going to realize eventually that they aren't going to be able to collect on this illegal loan. Did you file your complaints? That's an important step and, when they start getting letters from the FTC, your state's Attorney General and the BBB, they may actually sit up and take notice.
