My progress with illegal PDLs(good news)

I made progress in just a short amount of time, and I wanted to share.
1) Spotlonloans.com (Impact). Loan of $450, paid $350 in fees.
Sent email 9/1 stating they were illegal in my state of California, etc. I was given until 10/1 to make a payment of $100 to close my account. Logged in and see "Current balance of $0".
2) Avantisfinancial.com (Tremont). Loan of $500, paid $610 in fees.
Sent email 9/1 saying they were illegal, etc, and asking for a refund of $110. I was immediately locked out of their site (not sure what happens next). I will continue to send refund requests.
3) Mypaydayadvance.com (Cash Advance Network, also known as Palmetto). Loan of $400, paid $360 in fees.
They were giving me a VERY HARD time - I kept saying I wasn't subject to their tribal laws, etc. Finally (today) they agreed to take $40 sent by Moneygram and close my account. Logged in online, and it says "Collection Two Please call one of our representatives"
4)Pay1day.com (Soloman). Loan of $400, paid $351.50 in fees.
Emailed 9/3 saying they were illegal, etc. They said I could mail $48.50 and close my account. I can still log into their site and I can still see the fees due, however.
5) Ashland (Crestwood). Loan of $300, paid $540 in fees.
Emailed 9/1 saying they were illegal, etc. Sent 2 emails requesting a refund. Haven't heard hide nor hair from them. Hope that's the end, although a refund would be nice.
6) Ace Cash Services. Loan of $450, owe $585.
Called 9/7 and told them I had to close my banking account due to fradulent activity. They said I could pay using a VISA. Not sure how to handle this one - I only want to pay the principal of $450.
And I still have 3 legitimate loans! Check N Go, CA Check Cashing, and Elastic.
I closed my bank account and made arrangements to moneygram these 3 the amount owed my next paycheck. I will be completely broke for two weeks, but I'll NEVER look back to these payday loans again. :)

Great going Dee Lee!!!!! Regarding Ace, you can negotiate with them as tell them that you will be paying through moneygram. Once all these are settled, make sure not to take payday loans again. Best of luck and keep us posted.

It doesn't matter whether they are located in Canada or West Indies. Tell them that you want a refund or else you will file cases against them. If you are lucky, you'll get the refund. Best of luck.:p
