Pay Day Loans of America..has anyone dealth with them?

I am in California and borrowed $350.00 from Pay Day Loans of America and have paid them $262.50 to date on rollovers. I just sent them the C & D letter tonight and having major anxiety issues with what they may do tomorrow. I cannot close my bank account so I put an ACH block on it but they cannot gurantee until Monday that it would go into effect and PDLOA is schedule to debit this Friday, 9/10. I was just wondering if anyone else here have dealt with them as I only found one posting from someone in Florida.

Thank you for all your help, this forum has been a lifesaver and I know realize how many people are in the same boat as me that are trying to get off of it. I appreciate any advice.


internet lender out of Delaware. I posted earlier and was told they were illegal in California and I was not able to find a license for them either. I have another question though, i had to sign the contract and faxed it back to them...does that matter? i know the pdls pull the " its like you came into our store ", wanted to know if they can use that as proof that I was at their store? its clear on the contract that it was a fax from california with the 858 area code etc. I probably shouldve checked first with you guys before sending out the letter.

i've only found one posting here from someone in florida just 2 weeks ago and they did send him a PIF but he overpaid them by $1500! I still owe $87.50 of principal. I couldnt sleep last night and have very high anxiety over sending this letter, i guess im just scared of whats next.

thank you guys for being here and offering support, without you all i dont know what i would do.

Just a recap and great news! I sent my C & D letter to Payday Loans of America last night and got a response from the manager this morning:

"Sorry you are not happy with our company. We try to accommodate all of our customers in times of need and we hope that the money we deposited into your account helped you through a tough situation. I will provide you with the address to send the remaining $87.50 that you said you would pay on your loan. After we receive it I will send you a paid in full letter and you will not be able to borrow from us or our affiliates ever again. You have been a good customer and have used this loan the right way. Sorry for the misunderstanding."

I borrowed $350 in July and have been paying $87.50 x3 since then, I owe only $87.50 left on the principal and it looks like I am out of this cycle!
