I got the same message and when I called them was put into touch with someone who issued the PIF and offered me a refund once I signed the mutual release. I hesitated to about calling but decided to go ahead, as soon as I told them who I was they transfered me to someone who was basically wauiting for my call. He actually stated that I ewas the one submitting all of those emails....lol!!!

That's interesting. I went ahead and called them today and had no luck. I was told that they are legal in my state and that a refund would not happen. I did not ask for anyone specific though I just talked to the customer rep who answered the line. Should I have asked for someone specifically?

I am in Oklahoma. They must have a license in Oklahoma and I checked with the Oklahoma Department of Consumer Credit and they do not have a license. I am wondering how ballplayersmom was able to get a refund. I am having no luck at all.
BPM, what did you tell the customer service rep when you called?
BPM, what did you tell the customer service rep when you called? Did you tell them your reason for calling up front or did you just give your account number and they transferred you to the right person. The person I spoke with was not listening to anything I had to say lol. I kind of expected that though.

Elfone, I did send you a PM but basically I had emailed abut 50 times when and I finally called in. When I did they pulled up my account and immediately transfered me to someone, a manager. I live in NJ and PDL are illegal, so that is what I said. I told them I had paid over 2,000 on a 400.00 loan and that it was illegal form them to do so, they offered me a settlement I declined, I countered, they declined, and offered another which I accepted. It was no where near what I had overpaid but it was quite a bit. If they are not licensed in Oklahoma, and your law requires the lender to be licensed keep pushing ask for their license number, keep sending the emails. I even stated I had hired a consumer protection lawyer and through his name around. As Shazzers told me...keep pushing!!!!
I faxed my letter and received an email from a James Snelson. His email address is james.snelson@loanpointusa.com. However, he didn't read my email because his response speaks of them decline cooperating with a payday loan assistance company. I never mentioned such a thing in my letter. So I'm sending it again tomorrow.
